I Don’t Want A Career: Why I’m Following My Dreams Instead Of A Paycheck

I’m not the type of person who is motivated by money. I care about making a difference and following my dreams. That’s why I’ve decided to pursue my passion for writing instead of a traditional career.

I know that I could make more money if I went the corporate route. I could get a steady paycheck and some good benefits. But that’s not what I’m looking for in life. I want to do something that I love and that makes me happy. I want to wake up every day excited to work on my projects.

So far, I’ve been able to make a living as a freelance writer. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it to me. I’m able to work on my own schedule and choose the projects that I want to work on. I’m also my own boss, which means I can make decisions about my career without having to answer to anyone else.

Of course, there are some downsides to this lifestyle. I don’t have a safety net if things go wrong. I also have to be very disciplined and organized, or I’ll never get anything done. But overall, I’m happy with my decision to pursue my dreams instead of a traditional career.

Who knows what the future will hold? I may eventually decide to get a “real” job. But for now, I’m going to keep following my dreams and doing what I love.

“I don’t want a career. I want to follow my dreams.”

It’s a sentence that I’ve said more times than I can count. And every time I say it, I get the same reaction: people look at me like I’m crazy.

“You can’t just not have a career,” they say. “You have to have a plan.”

But here’s the thing: I don’t want a career. I don’t want to spend my life working towards something that I’m not passionate about. I don’t want to do something just because it’s what’s expected of me.

I want to follow my dreams.

Now, I’m not saying that I don’t want to work. I’m not saying that I don’t want to be successful. I’m just saying that I don’t want my work to be my life. I want to have a job that I love, but I also want to have a life outside of work.

I want to have time for my friends and family. I want to travel and see the world. I want to pursue my hobbies and interests. I want to do things that make me happy.

And I know that I can’t have all of those things if I’m stuck in a career that I don’t care about.

So, yes, I’m following my dreams instead of a paycheck. And I’m never looking back.
