You may have seen the viral video of a man flying a tiny paper airplane across an office. The airplane is so small that it’s hard to believe it could actually fly. But fly it does, and quite well!
The Tom Thumb Flyer is a miniature paper airplane that is easy to make and flies surprisingly well. It’s a great project for kids, and a fun way to show off your paper airplane making skills to your friends.
Here’s how to make your own Tom Thumb Flyer:
– Start with a square piece of paper. If you don’t have a square piece of paper, you can fold a regular piece of paper in half to make a square.
– Fold the paper in half to make a triangle.
– Fold the triangle in half to make a smaller triangle.
– Fold the triangle in half again to make an even smaller triangle.
– Fold the triangle in half one more time to make a very small triangle.
– Fold the point of the triangle up to meet the top of the triangle.
– Fold the sides of the triangle in to meet the center line.
– Fold the top of the triangle down to meet the bottom.
– Turn the paper over and fold the point of the triangle up to meet the top of the triangle.
– Fold the sides of the triangle in to meet the center line.
– old the top of the triangle down to meet the bottom.
Your Tom Thumb Flyer is now complete! To fly it, simply throw it like a regular paper airplane. The Tom Thumb Flyer is a great paper airplane for indoor flying, and it’s also quite durable.
Happy flying!
